STEM Investigations: A Series for Young Scientists

Space is limited! Registration must be completed by 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 30, 2024. Attendees will receive a confirmation email with more information about the program series at the end of April. 

Does your child love our ball machine? Do they love to splash around in the Playscape® Water Table? Are they always asking questions like why things are built a certain way? In this program, your family will work together as a team of scientists to investigate, explore, and play together. Each session in the series will have a different STEM focus and correlate to an exhibit interactive. Families will have time to exclusively play inside an exhibit and in our early childhood classroom when they complete a family STEM challenge. Join us for one session a week, for four weeks, of hands on play-based scientific learning.   

In this paid experience, your 3–5 year-old child will:

• Investigate different STEM related topics
• Have time to exclusively play inside an exhibit with a specific interactive that correlates to a STEM topic
• Discuss, share ideas, and work side by side to apply new science knowledge to complete a STEM challenge or experiment
• Use a variety of science materials and tools that help them problem solve and critically think

Families will walk away from the program with new understandings about science and will be able to make connections between science and our everyday lives.

• Friday, May 3, 9–10:15 a.m. 
• Friday, May 10, 9–10:15 a.m. 
• Friday, May 17, 9–10:15 a.m.
• Friday, May 24, 9–10:15 a.m. 

**Please note that when you register, you will be registering for the first session on May 3rd, 2024 but your registration fee will cover the cost of all four sessions. There will be no refunds given if a family is absent, cancels, or cannot make it a session.**
