Last Chance for the Dinosaur Train and Minecraft exhibits

 For immediate release

INDIANAPOLIS, IN (July 17, 2023)

Minds have been blown and castles created. It’s now time to bid farewell to a couple of popular traveling exhibits at The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis.

Last call for Dinosaur Train: The Traveling Exhibit July 30, 2023

Ring the bell on the train before it hits the tracks for its next venue. Join Buddy the Tyrannosaurus rex and his Pteranodon family one more time on a time-traveling adventure through the Age of the Dinosaurs. You have until July 30, 2023 to hop aboard a stationary version of the Dinosaur Train and help Buddy on his quest to discover everything there is to know about dinosaurs!

Last call for Minecraft: The Exhibition - August 6, 2023

Gamers have until August 6, 2023 to checkout Minecraft, the most popular video game of all time and take selfies with 15 life-sized Minecraft characters and scenic backdrops. Created by The Museum of Pop Culture (MoPOP) in partnership with Mojang, Minecraft: The Exhibition celebrates the Minecraft pop cultural phenomenon and looks at the game’s impact across the globe.

The two exhibits mentioned above have wow’d families and brought them together for fun, learning and creativity. Coming soon will be The Children’s Museum Guild’s Annual Haunted House. This year’s theme is BOOville – spooky details to come! We are also excited to tell you about a couple of other experiences including Sacred Places and WinterFaire.

Coming soon:

Sacred Places
Open Sept. 9, 2023–April 7, 2024

This fall, we will bring the world to Indianapolis through the exploration a dozen locations, focusing on six main sacred places, each representing different faiths. You'll “meet” a young guide from each community who will describe how they feel, what they do, and what they experience when they visit their sacred site.

Learning about these places through the lens of these real people can help us better communicate with our neighbors, leading to mutual understanding and respect.

WinterFaire
Opens Nov. 18, 2023

Embark on a brand-new winter adventure and visit the magical world of WinterFaire. Each winter, a whimsical cast of characters will bring carnival favorites to an enchanted forest. There will be games, an ice cave and other magical places to explore, and a giant slide—with a winter twist!

Play, laugh, and make lifelong memories together in this one-of-a-kind indoor winter experience.
