Double the Fun After-Hours during Family-Friendly or Grown-ups Only Celebrations at The Children’s Museum!

Terra Cotta WarriorsVisitors have been clamoring for more and we are responding! The popularity of a sold-out “over 21” summer series of special evenings called Terra Cotta Warriors After Dark prompted The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis to add a fourth “grown-ups only” evening on Sept. 12, 2014 (details below).

But wait, that’s not all! If you would like to bring your children to the museum after-hours as well, we have a special family-friendly event on Sept. 13, 2014 called Museum Before Midnight: Journey to China (details below).

Terra Cotta Warriors After Dark
Friday, Sept. 12, 2014 6–8 p.m.

Imagine a cool place to spend a warm, late summer evening ... a place where you can network, enjoy a cocktail and snacks and admire ancient, authentic, priceless Terra Cotta Warriors standing at attention for your inspection.

Terra Cotta Warriors After Dark is for adults 21 and older. Grown-ups are invited to experience three blockbuster exhibits: Terra Cotta Warriors: The Emperor’s Painted Army, Take Me There:® China and Dinosphere® featuring Leonardo: The Mummified Dinosaur from 6–8 p.m. (after the museum closes). Explore, study, investigate or just kick back and enjoy!

Ticket includes:

  • Admission to the event

  • Access to Sunburst Atrium, Take Me There:® China, Dinosphere® and Leonardo: The Mummified Dinosaur

Museum Before Midnight: Journey to China 
Saturday, Sept. 13, 6:30–9:30 p.m.

Families will explore the museum at night! Journey to China and discover its history, language, arts, and culture. Participate in activities that bring the museum to life and enhance your knowledge of China. Learn about the museum’s collections via a special guided tour, explore the museum including the two newest exhibits--Take Me There:® China and Terra Cotta Warriors: The Emperor’s Painted Army and enjoy a Chinese-inspired, child-friendly dinner. When you have finished your journey to China, join a dance party at the world’s largest children’s museum.

Fee*: $15 member youths, $20 member adults
$25 nonmember youths, $30 nonmember adults
*Price includes admission to Terra Cotta Warriors exhibit
